Do not upgrade Maryan Linux 1 to Ubuntu 8.10 |

As you know it, Maryan Linux 1 is based on Ubuntu 8.04. In a few hours Ubuntu 8.10. will be available.
We do not recommend you to upgrade to Ubuntu's new version from Maryan Linux 1.The Development Team of Maryan Linux clarifies that they will continue giving support for the same period of 3 long-term years that Ubuntu offers for this version.
So if you decide to upgrade to Ubuntu 8.10, the Development Team of Maryan Linux warns that:
- We won't help you to solve any upgrading issue
- We won't offer any tech support for that new version of Ubuntu 8.10
Maryan Linux this 1 based on Ubuntu 8.04 and we'll be supporting only this base, for three years.
Maryan Linux 2 won't be based on Ubuntu 8.10, nor any Ubuntu's version. |

This month Maryan Linux went out in the article of the Magazine Tuxinfo. For our happiness, not only we go out once, if not two times. The first article is on the interview realized to Marvin Ortega, founder of the project. In the second article, Franco Rivero refers to Maryan Linux as a showy and new option for all those that they want to discover E17.
